News release

Overseas Investment - warning re offers from overseas brokers

It has come to our attention that a number of New Zealand persons, particularly South Islanders, are at present investing in overseas stocks of which they know little or nothing on the recommendation of brokers in overseas jurisdictions of whom they know little or nothing.

Once again we wish to remind New Zealand investors of the folly of this sort of practice. It is highly unlikely to produce good returns. It gains for New Zealanders the reputation of being a nation of suckers.

Be careful.

John Farrell
Chief Executive
