News Release

AIR NEW ZEALAND

The Securities Commission today confirmed its strong interest in disclosures of information by Air New Zealand Limited over the past year.

The Market Surveillance Panel of the New Zealand Stock Exchange informed the Commission today that it is undertaking a review of Air New Zealand Limited's compliance with the disclosure requirements of the Exchange's Listing Rule 10.1.

The Commission, at its regular monthly meeting today, welcomed the Market Surveillance Panel's review.

Chairman Jane Diplock said that the Commission will be in close and continuing consultation with the Market Surveillance Panel in relation to its review. The Commission will consider whether any further action is required when that review is complete.
