This notices amends the Securities Act (Dividend Reinvestment) Exemption Notice 1998 (SR 1998/293), which was due to expire on 30 September 2000, by extending its expiry date to 30 September 2005.
Reasons
The Commission's policy for exempting offers of securities under dividend reinvestment plans is that where the offeree is an existing holder of the issuer's securities, full disclosure of material information about the securities and the issuer is not necessary. The Commission considers that this policy remains sound.
The Commission does not consider that any specific amendments are required to the terms of the Exemption Notice.
